Play Street Museum offers a variety of kid's birthday party options at our Upper West Side, NYC location. Host a party that is full of imaginative play, fun kid's activities and more in our interactive children's museum. See our party themes and packages below.


Private parties

Option 1:

Do-It-Yourself

Private Party: $1200

• Private use of Play Street Museum for 1.5 hours with party hostess to help assist with all party needs (Private parties only)

• Bring your own decorations

• Bring your own food & drink (no alcohol please)

  • Parties can host up to 16 kids and 32 adults. Each additional child is $35 and adults are $10. 25 children maximum.

Option 2:

Sweet & Simple

Private Party: $1700

All of option 1 plus:

  • Invitations: Play Street Museum theme

  • Happy Birthday to you sign (pink, red, or blue)

  • Water or Juice Boxes

  • Paper goods: dessert plates, napkins, cups and striped straws (choose 1-3 colors from our color chart)

  • 24 vanilla cupcakes with white icing and coordinating flags (Private Parties)

  • 10 coordinating latex balloons

  • Goodie Bags - A healthy snack and a return pass for each child

  • Bring a few accessories or mylar balloons to coordinate with the colors you choose to make this the easiest character themed party ever!

* Parties can host up to 16 kids and 32 adults. Each additional child is $40 and adults are $10. 25 children maximum.

Option 3: 

Sit Back & Relax

Private Party: $2200

All of option 2 plus:

  • Choice of one of our party themes

  • Custom Invitations

  • 4 large pizzas or 2 large sandwich trays.

  • Breakfast alternatives available for the 9 AM party

  • Fruit and veggie tray

* Parties can host up to 16 kids and 32 adults. Each additional child is $50 and adults are $10. 25 children maximum.

OPTION 4: 

WEEK DAY PARTY

STARTING AT $1100

  • Monday-Wednesday 7:00-8:30 PM

  • Private use of Play Street Museum for 1 1/2 hours

  • Bring your own decorations

  • Bring your own food & drink (no alcohol please)

    • Bring your own decorations

    Parties can host up to 8 children and 16 adults. Each additional child is $35 and adults are $10. We require 1 week notice for additional guests.

*You may extend the last party time slot of the day by 30 minutes for a $250 fee.

Party FAQ

Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a party spot?  Yes, we require a $500 + tax nonrefundable deposit.  

Can I bring in outside food or drink?  Yes, for private parties we allow outside food or drink with the exception of alcohol. We recommend keeping it simple as the kiddos are typically more interested in playing rather than eating! :)

Can I use open flames or food warming fuels to warm my food or for decoration? For safety reasons we cannot allow open flames in our facility.  This does not apply to birthday candles.    

How many children may attend the party?  The private party price includes 16 children including the birthday child and all children ages 1-12. You may add more children for an additional fee per child, and the maximum number of children attending allowed is 25. If you have more than 25 children attend, we will charge a $300 Large Party fee. The semi-private party pricing includes 8 children. The $300 Large Party fee also applies to semi-private parties with more than 12 children. There is a fee for any additional children, and we must be notified one week in advance.

May I bring in a craft for the children to do during the party? We do not allow outside crafts to be brought in. We do have paint your own pottery, slime, and painting on canvas that our staff can facilitate for an additional fee.

How much time is allowed for party set-up?  You may arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled party time to begin setting up for your party. 

Do I need to clean up after the party?  We will assist you in packing up your things and we will take care of the rest!  

Can I extend the party? If you reserve the last party slot of the day, you have the option of extending your party.  It is $250 for an additional 30 minutes.  Please give us at least one week notice if you would like to extend your party.
